She’s taking her sweet time about rolling over but I think that’s probably because of how chubby she is–lol!! 🙂 She does this thing when she’s excited that sounds like she’s hyperventalating then laughs–it cracks me up every time! She’s also gotten very fond of sticking her tounge out and last night she was doing them both at the same time and looked just like a little puppy dog. LoL! Never a dull moment between her and Bob!!!! They keep me hopping and in stiches all the time 🙂
Speaking of my wonderful hubbysand he has decided that he is going to get out of the Coast Guard so that he can use the GI Bill to get his degree in Electrical Engineering—Yippee!!!! He has 60 days of leave left (the military is just great about letting you take time off, lol) so that means his last day will be September 26th!!!!!!! Ack!!! So much to do and so little time!!!! Please be praying for us as there are so many things that will be up in the air such as housing, a job for him, and medical insurance. For all it’s faults the military does have some definate good points!! I know that the next 3 or so years won’t be easy…we’ll have to be pinching our pennies and poor Bob won’t be having much free time at all, but I think it will be all worth it in the end. He pretty much has a job waiting for him from his uncle as soon as he gets the degree or if he does miss the CG a lot he can apply for OCS (officer school) and have a better chance of getting in with his prior CG service and a bachelor’s degree.
Saturday ushered in my 23rd year of life. To celebrate I got to get up at 5:30 am and spent the day in 100 degree weather watching softball–woo hoo! 😛 😉 LoL, Bob had spent the past several weeks practicing to be in the Coast Guard’s softball tournament which happened to fall on my birthday. At first I wasn’t too thrilled with the idea (those of you who know me know just how much I love the sport) but ended up really enjoying myself all day. They played four games that day the first starting at 8 am and the last ending around 6:30 pm. They won two and lost two but managed to win their last game by enough points to qualify to play the next day. Yesterday they won one but lost two and with double elimination were out. The tournament was very large, all the teams were made up of members of the Coast Guard and there were teams from Charleston, SC to Headquarters in Washington DC present.
After the games and showers to wash the sticky humidity off we went to Outback for a late b*day dinner which was delicious as always. All in all it was a great way to spend a birthday!
We had a nice fourth of July weekend. For those of you who don’t know I recently had a good friend I met up at Red Cliff many years ago move just 15 minutes away from me when her husband got stationed here with the Marine Corp. We had Nate and Lara and their 16 month old daughter Cadence over to BBQ burgers at our condo and then watch fireworks. From some info I got last year we were able to go to a spot where we could see both Morehead City & Atlantic Beach’s firework displays over the ocean. Amber didn’t like it when some people shot some fireworks right above us but other than that she was a trooper considering it was loud & past her bed time!!
Hello everyone!! 🙂 Mary inspired me to do this so thanks Mary, lol. I thought that this would be an easier way for everyone to get “Amber updates” and pictures rather than me sending out emails all the time and clogging up your inboxes with huge pics. Hope you enjoy my ramblings about our little family!!!

If you are looking for someone to help give your business the online boost you need, I would love to talk about how I can help you. Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org so I can give you my latest rates and work to create a package that would fit your company’s specific needs whether they be long or short term.
Because of the recent FTC rulings on needing to fully disclose freebies and gain from companies I’m posting this disclosure on here:
I am sponsored through Uprinting, Thomas Nelson, LitFuse, and Tyndalle publishing company, and more companies all the time. What this means is that they send me free products from time to time in order for me to provide you with reviews and giveaways.
Other companies who do not sponsor me also send me specific products to review. On certain occasions they may provide me with an additional thank you in the form of a gift certificate or money or an additional product.
Although I do receive these products for free you can depend on my unbiased opinion of any and all of the products and companies I talk about. I would only accept a sponsorship from a company that I fully believed in and supported. My stamp of approval cannot be bought at any cost. I will be careful to disclose any freebies I’ve received in each giveaway or review, either in the main content or at the end. If I talk about receiving or being sent an item it means I received it in exchange for the review.
My opinion in the end is my own. Obviously everyone has different opinions and experiences so just because I love or hate something it doesn’t guarantee you’ll have the same opinions or experience. I do try to keep this in mind while doing my reviews however, what my not work for me might be perfect for you!
In addition to product reviews I also do sponsored posts and advertising. Normally this will be a company reimbursing me for a text link in a post that I write. I only will do this for family friendly companies, and will keep the posts as useful and relevant as all my other writing.
So there we go….hopefully I’ve covered all the bases for the FTC and now I can get back to what I love best, blogging, giveaways, reviews, and yes….freebies!
You can contact me at: email@example.com
First of all I want to say thank you for considering me to review, host a giveaway for, or work with you on advertising your business/product. I appreciate each company that works with bloggers and do not take your pitch lightly. As this blog is one of my jobs I treat it with the professionalism it deserves.
At this time I am not accepting any guest posts for free. If you would like to have your guest post considered please see my policy of sponsored posts and rates below.
If you would like to see some of my most recent giveaways to get a taste for my style and how I run them you may do so here. I request that all giveaway prize items be shipped directly to the winner.
Because I run my blog as content based I usually spend at least 1 hour and up to 3 hours for each blog post that I write. Because of this I have a policy that if I do not receive $30 worth of product compensation it may be included in a multi-product post with similar, but not competing, products. For an example you can check this post: How To Put Together the Perfect Thinking of You Gift Basket.
I use a content based style of review. I’ve found that my readers are looking for great, quality content and I love providing it for them! This means the product you send might not be talked about for a huge amount of time, but it will be included in quality pictures and information that people will actually read. If you would like to read some of my previous reviews you may find them here.
If you are interested in having me advertise for you I have the option of sponsored posts, text links, or sidebar buttons that start at $40 per post or $20 per month. Please email me for my latest rates. I am willing to give discounted prices for yearly rates, multiple posts, or in special circumstances. I also give a military discount.
I will only accept products/endorse companies that I feel are in line with my Christian and family oriented lifestyle and values. I’m pretty much open to anything as long as it falls under those categories though, so you’ll never know unless you ask! I will be completely honest in any review that I give, however because I greatly appreciate companies that allow reviews this will be reflected in my review as well. If I do have a negative opinion I will contact you and we can discuss whether or not you would still wish for me to post it. Also If you have me a host a giveaway I will do my best to give it a large amount of publicity using Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, email, sweepstake/giveaway sites, and word of mouth.
