Winning and Flying, both so exciting!!!!!!

So my latest obbsession is blogstalking. It all started when Jaimin sent me a link to Her Cup Overfloweth and it was all downhill from there! First I just started following all the great blogs with ideas for toddlers, then it was on to the […]

Fast and Furious, Short and Sweet

Fast and Furious, Short and Sweet

Those two phrases completely describe my brother and sister-in-laws visit this week. Dan and Allegra were down in SC visiting her family and decided to swing up and visit us for 2 days since they won’t get to see Bob for awhile since he has […]

The Fourth of July

The Fourth of July

We celebrated the 4th of July with just the 3 of us this year. We had a wonderful day though. We battled the tourists to buy new sunglasses, Bob grilled us up a feast, and then we played (Bronco) Monopoly. I got slaughtered the first time but was able to soothe my fierce competitiveness by winning the second round. That night we went and watched both fireworks displays over the water. Amber actually stayed awake for them this year and was pretty impressed with them. She “OOoo-ed” them and clapped and said “Yey!” 😀 That was probably the best part! 🙂 It was a sweet simple day and I had a wonderful time celebrating it with my beautiful little girl and my very own American Hero. 😀

Going to see the fireworks

This Tuesday we got a package my Grandma Middlemas sent for Amber. It was filled with a bunch of adorable patriotic outfits. 😀 Sad they didn’t come in time for the 4th but they’ll be great for the rest of the summer. Amber loved opening the package up and asked me to put the cutest one on right away, which is hilarious because she hates getting changed. We then had to go outside and do a photo shoot 😉 I got some completely adorable pics! The trick to getting your 16 month old to stand still and smile? Sing “Itsy Bitsy Spider” as obnoxiously as you possibly can!!!! 😀
