Pampers Cruisers

As a Mom you know that little is more important in your babies first years as diapers!!! A bad leaky diaper can ruin a day pretty quickly! That’s why I was excited to hear about Pamper’s new Cruiser diapers. Here’s the information on them right from the company…including how you can try them out for FREE!
Every baby is a champion in play, and to celebrate the upcoming Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games, Pampers® Diapers has partnered with Team USA to introduce new Pampers Swaddlers and Cruisers Diapers with Dry Max, the brand’s new high performance diapers sure to earn gold with world-class “players” – babies.
The babies of Team USA athletes will be equipped with the new Pampers Cruisers Diapers with Dry Max as they head to Vancouver. In honor of these athletes and their families, Pampers has created specially-branded Team USA diapers with the Dry Max technology. Although these limited-edition Team USA diapers will not be for sale, parents all across the country can buy Pampers Swaddlers and Cruisers Diapers with Dry Max for their best players in the world in March. In the meantime, parents can request a free sample three-pack of the new Cruisers diaper on Pampers.com starting January 29th. If this sample includes a Team USA diaper (they will be randomly inserted in select sample packs), their baby will win a year’s supply of Pampers Cruisers Diapers with Dry Max.

To bring to life the incredible passion, endurance and ability babies demonstrate daily in the sport of play, Pampers Diapers has directly teamed with two world-class athlete families who are among the first to receive the special-edition Team USA diapers: Olympic gold medal speedskater Chad Hedrick and his family, and skeleton (forward-facing luge) World Champion and Olympic Hopeful Noelle Pikus-Pace and her family. These athlete families will be sharing their Vancouver experiences from their babies’ point of view throughout the Olympic Winter Games via photos and videos on Pampers.com.
“For many athletes, bringing home an Olympic medal is not just their dream, it’s a shared dream of their entire family,” said Jodi Allen, Vice President of North America Baby Care at Procter & Gamble including Pampers Diapers. “We are so proud to partner with these world-class athlete families, who are also parenting inspirations by training and succeeding while raising young, active children. We could not think of a more appropriate event than the Olympic Winter Games to celebrate babies as the world’s greatest players and introduce our new high-performance gear – Pampers Swaddlers and Cruisers Diapers with Dry Max.”
Babies’ passion and dedication to play demonstrates that they are some of the best players in the world. Did you know that a cruising baby in one day can take as many steps as a marathon runner in a race, and a nine-month old baby can crawl up to 400 meters in 20 minutes? It’s this active play that continually inspires the Pampers brand, and that’s why moms and dads are encouraged to log on to Pampers.com beginning February 12 to join in celebrating the development of their own best players. Parents will have the ability to upload a video of their baby crawling from left to right, and randomly selected videos will be compiled into a Pampers Cruisers Diapers with Dry Max “Baby Relay” commercial which will air during closing day of the Olympic Winter Games, giving babies a chance to showcase their own playful ability in the same forum as the most elite athletes.
“Pampers is delighted to give all babies the chance to be awarded for their everyday medal-worthy performances,” Allen said. “The technology incorporated into new Pampers Cruisers Diapers with Dry Max makes them 20 percent thinner than before and our driest diaper ever, providing game-changing improvements to babies in terms of performance and comfort, permitting them to be the best players they can be!”
I will also be getting to sample these diapers and will let you know just what I think in an upcoming review!

General Mills Cereal *Review*

Everyone knows what an important meal breakfast is. “A 1998 study showed that children who eat breakfast tend to perform better at school. Compared to children who skip breakfast, children who eat breakfast score higher on tests, are less likely to miss class or be tardy, have fewer reported discipline problems, and make fewer trips to the office.” And cold cereal has always been a leading choice for kids. Amber literally cheers when I take out cereal in the morning, it’s hilarious. As a mom you want to be sure you’re giving your children healthy food though.
That’s why I was so excited to hear about the fact that General Mills is “reducing the sugar in cereals advertised to kids under 12 to single digit grams of sugar per serving. The company has already been reducing sugar in cereals while increasing key nutrients, such as calcium and vitamin D, and providing whole grain.”
That was great news to me! Amber loves Honey Nut Cheerios and Bob is a big fan of Lucky Charms (I know, some people never grow up, right?!) So I was thrilled when we were sent 4 coupons to get free boxes of cereal from General Mills by My Blog Spark. They are also the ones who provided the information in quotes in this post. We’ve been enjoying tasty nutritional breakfasts because of it!

Patient Style *Review*

Everyone knows that hospital gowns aren’t exactly fashionable. But that doesn’t stop you from having tons of visitors after baby arrives! Of course, they’re going to be more focused on the baby than you, but would it be nice to look your best when they arrived?
Patient Style has everything you’ll need for your hospital visit for everyone to look gorgeous and feel comfy!
I would absolutely love this gown for when baby #2 arrives!

And this swaddler has to be the cutest thing ever!!!

Patient Style was nice enough to send me two pairs of their antimicrobial slipper socks to review.

I absolutely love them! They are soooo soft and comfy. Even after I’ve washed them a few times they’re still so soft. I also love that they have grips on the bottom. The quality is wonderful and I would definitely recommend buying them or anything else from Patient Style!

Thanks so much to The Product Review Place for helping me find this wonderful company!

Baby’s First Phone Call *Giveaway*

***This giveaway is now CLOSED congrats to all the winners***
Me and Amber’s first picture together
Having a baby is a crazy event! Especially if you have a hard time with it like I did when I had Amber. Once the baby arrives safely you want everyone to know, but with all the craziness going on it’s a little hard to make a bunch of phone calls to all the people waiting the big news!
Baby’s First Phone Call has a solution to this problem! It’s an automated calling tree that let’s you pass on the joyous information without spending hours calling everyone. It’s not impersonal though. After the baby is born you call the number provided and leave a message of any length telling all the good details. Then it sends that message out to all the numbers you’ve pre-programmed. Family and friends get to hear the details directly from you in your message, and if they don’t pick up it’s left on their answering machine. Either way they’re given the option to leave the new parents a message as well, that they can then listen to at their convenience.
Something like this would have been wonderful when I had Amber, and I’m so excited to get to use it for our newest little addition! This would make a wonderful shower gift or baby gift as well!
You can try it out too! Baby’s First Phone Call is graciously allowing me to giveaway 4 $50 gift certificates!!

Bugalug *Review and Giveaway*

***This giveaway is now CLOSED Congrats to Benita who won***
One of the most fun things about having a little girl is getting to dress her up in pretty things! This includes all the hair accessories of course! Now that Amber’s a little older the typical clip doesn’t really cut it. Her hair is fine and silky and normal clips tend to fall right out.
That’s why I was so excited to discover Bugalug! Not only are their products too adorable, they actually work! The barrettes have a soft plastic on the inside that keeps them snug in place, while still being comfortable. The pony loop we received was just the right size to put Amber’s hair up in a pony tail, and even though Amber isn’t much of a head band girl, with their unique design I was able to keep it on, for a little while at least! 🙂
I love Bugalug‘s products and would highly recommend them!
So by now I know you’re dying to get some for your own little princess, right?!
Well today is your lucky day!
Bugalug has agreed to give one lucky reader a six pack of barrettes!

Mean Nasty Things….

Attack my computer and deprive me of my precious internet!!
Luckily I have a sweet smart hubby who was able to fix my computer…well, somewhat :S Now the internet works but nothing else does! 🙁
Just wanted to give you all a heads up as to why the blog has been silent the past few days. Also I’m way behind on posting reviews and giveaways, so I’m afraid you’re going to get a little bogged down by them the next few days. I normally try to space everything out, but I’m going on a short vacation to Wyoming this weekend (WOO HOO!!) and need to get caught up before then 🙂
So please bear with me, and you might be praying that I’m able to get my computer fixed all the way!!!

iheartfaces ~ We Are Family

This week at iheartfaces the photo challenge is We Are Family. This picture immediately came to mind. It was taken at Amber’s first birthday party and shows the four generations in my family. My mom, I, and Amber are also all the oldest children in our family, which I think is pretty cool 🙂 If you want to see more wonderful families go check out the entries for this week!

Kiva.org

By now I’m sure all of you have heard about the horrible destruction and tragedy that’s going on in Haiti right now. When times like this happen it’s always wonderful to see the amazing outpouring of help that people around the world, especially American’s, give. So many companies and organizations are donating a great amount of time, money, and products, and even individuals are reaching out and doing all they can to help.
It’s very sad though, that it takes something so horrific for us to take the focus off ourselves and our country and focus on others. In fact, I think too often as American’s we tend to be totally self absorbed and forget that there are really even other countries in the world. Not really, of course, but the way we live seems to state that. I know that I’m guilty of having that mentality. It seems like we struggle with caring beyond our own friends and families, let along beyond our own country.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m all about America. I love it with my whole heart and think it is the best place in the world. My husband has given his career and my families’ lifestyle up to serving our country. But we are so very, very incredibly blessed in America and it’s good for us to be reminded of that. It’s good for us to look out into the world and take just a little bit of all we’ve been blessed with and try to in turn bless others.
Kiva.org is a wonderful organization that allows people to reach out and touch the lives of people all around the world. These are hard working, real people who are trying to make a living for themselves and their families. You can even see their pictures and exactly what kind of business they are running and what they’re specifically going to do with the money they receive, so you have the confidence of supporting only something and someone you really want to. There are young moms, business men, people selling produce and textiles, and ranchers. What I really like about this organization is that you’re not giving anyone a free handout; you’re helping people who are trying and working but just need a little help to get on their feet.
How it works is you choose an individual that you would like to make a loan to. Then you donate that amount, and they pay you back over time. Once they’re done you have your principal back (the interest goes to Kiva in order to keep the program running) and you can either take your money back or loan it out all over again. You do take the risk of them not paying you back, but they have a high success rate and when do you not take a risk when you try to help someone? All along you’ll know you’re doing something vitally important, something that is literally life changing for another person.
Pretty nifty right?
Uprinting is hosting a Kiva Blogathon (this is my entry) in order to raise awareness about this wonderful organization. If you’re a blogger and you’d like to partcipate you can go here to find out the details.

Week 13 Update

The end of my first trimester, so crazy to think it’s here already! In some ways though, it’s lasted far too long! I’ve spent much too much time hugging the porcelain, last week especially! This week has gone much better though so *knock on wood and all sorts of other superstitious-ness* maybe I might have a normal pregnancy this time and have it leave at the end of the first trimester?
*Gasp*…could that really be possible?
Maybe…just maybe! In the meantime I’m not holding my breath and got some Zofran today. My logic being I can just not take it if I’m not puking 3 times a day….but on the chance I do, I will have it, yey!
Today I wasn’t the one puking 3 times though. Poor Amber has a stomach bug and has been miserable all last night and today. So hard to have your baby get sick as a mom! She finally seems to be perking up though, so maybe I’ll get more than 20 min. of sleep at a time tonight.
Really, I don’t need to be reminded of what having a newborn is like, honestly! That will come soon enough!
I’ve gained 6 lbs. so far–3 more than is “recommended” at this point :S This totally bums me out since I don’t feel like I’ve been eating, or at least not enjoying eating, anything lately. But I’m sure the fact that we’ve been hitting up Chick-fil-a a little often and since Pepsi helps settle my stomach I’ve been downing that lately where I used to be a milk and water only kinda gal. I’m also sure the gallon of chocolate ice cream (which I enjoyed muchly) I polished of in two days didn’t help either…
Oh wait…I totally did not eat a whole gallon…of chocolate ice cream…in two days!!! No way! Just forget I even talked about it ok? Or mentioned it…or…
Chocolate ice cream….mmmmmmmmmmm…..
Whoa, what? Ok, anyways…
Heard little babies heart beat for the first time today, so precious. Scheduled the ultrasound for February 26th, Woo Hoo!!!! So, are you thinking I’ll have a boy or a girl? I have a premonition..but I’ll wait to tell you if I was right or not 😉
