A few weeks ago my brother-in-law left a mysterious comment on my Facebook wall saying that my hubby needed to call him. This is the first time anything like this had happened, but I just replied and said he would and asked how things were going. He replied good, but again stated that Bob needed to call him.
So I told hubby something was up and that he needed to call his brother, lol.
While chatting we found out that Bryan (the before mentioned brother-in-law) was getting married.
Now, although big news this may not seem shocking to any of you. It was, however, quite shocking to us considering:
#1. When we saw him at Christmas he was interested in someone else, and we didn’t even know that he was dating this girl or that she even existed until this point and
#2. The wedding was going to be in just a few weeks.
Ah well, if I’ve learned one thing about the men in the Elliott family it’s that you should always, always expect the unexpected from them!
So Bob put in for leave and last Saturday we made the long trek over to Kentucky. 12 1/2 hours in the car and one very long detour around a rock slide later we made it!!!
Sunday was the wedding. Us girls had lots of fun getting all dolled up for it!
The wedding was very nice–I decided this new sister-in-law I just met must be cool because she had several of my favorite country songs as part of it. 😉

Hubby was an usher so got to get all spiffed up in his uniform. Yummy!!! (haha, sorry couldn’t help myself…) I also got to meet his half-sister for the first time ever and was soooo excited about that! She is a total sweetheart, I just love her!
Aren’t they a gorgeous family????
Spent the whole day with Bob’s family and since the newly weds didn’t get a honeymoon we even got to have dinner and breakfast with them after the wedding. Bad for them, good for us, lol! 🙂 It was a wonderful time and I’m so happy we were still in NC so we got to be a part of it!
