Now, don’t get me wrong. I never used to wish Death to Ants everywhere. Because, you see, in Wyoming ants are pretty cool. It’s fun to watch them work and I spent hours doing so as a child.
Here in Texas, however, the ants are of a whole different variety. And these itty bitty guys you can barely see in the picture above have NASTY tempers. The red ants in Wyoming were mean, too, but they were huge and as long as you left them well enough alone they’d do the same for you.
There is no such luck with these little Texas ants though Both Amber and Tyler have accidentally stepped into their paths (not even the PILES–just the path the ants were traveling) during play-dates which I found out by their screams as they got bit by a bunch of them.
Hence why they both got stripped of their pants in the middle of public–sorry kids, it was for your own good and you really didn’t care at the moment.
And, once again I will repeat–if you live in Texas carry a bottle of hand sanitizer with you everywhere because it takes the sting away from the bites!
But I digress……because of all of this when I saw the new Combat Ant Killing Bait Strips I knew we needed some! They’re cool because the killing bait strings aren’t spray and unlike other methods of getting rid of ants these actually kill the entire colony. They’re also discreet so when you tuck them out of reach of pets and kiddos they won’t be attracting to anyone but those ants!
