Bible Stories Painting Book 2

Bible Stories Painting Book 2
Legalese Nonsense: Since Amber loves to paint I will always say yes when offered a chance to check out a great painting book! All buddy artistic talent, careful evaluations and paint splotches are our own.

Bible Stories Painting Book 2

I have really been enjoying the Candle Children’s Book series–especially their workbooks like My Very First Noah’s Ark Playtime and My Very First Easter Story Sticker Book. I hadn’t gotten a chance to check out any of their painting books before now, and since painting is one of Amber’s very favorite things I was looking forward to seeing how Bible Stories Painting Book 2  held up to our testing!

This vacation has been a little bit different, as we have been spending most of our days over at my Grandma’s house. While the extra time with her has been great it’s also meant that I’ve been left scrambling to come up with things to occupy my kiddos in a small space without a lot of resources.

The Bible Stories Painting Book 2 has been an amazing way to fill several hours of Amber’s time! It has 2 paint palates in both the front and in the back–all you have to do is get a paint brush and a glass of water and you’re good to go! I was a little skeptical of how well dried on paint would work to actually color the pages–but I was pleasantly surprised! The colors have a very typical watercolor feel to them and the pages that Amber painted in turned out lovely!

Since Amber colored ALL the page in it seems like she’s going through the palates a little fast–but since there are 2 full pages of colors on the front and the back I’m sure that there will be just enough color to get her through the book.

I love how each little page has a few sentences talking about the Bible story they represent–a great launching board if you would like to take the activity further or this would make a fun companion for Bible stories as you learn them in your home.

I also love how mess and fuss free this is–it would even make a great activity to do on an airplane or in a car (you could just use a water bottle to hold the paint water).

As you can probably tell we were all very pleased with this book and after our experience with it I’m sure we’ll end up buying the first book in the series as well! Don’t just take my word for it, however, hop on over and check out the other Amazon Reviews–so far it has almost 9 stars and at just $7.99 it would make a great present!

I need to check this out! My kids always love to paint, but I don’t always want to pull out all the water colors.
