Ice Princess Makeup Tutorial

Legalese Nonsense: The Walmart gift cards, product, and information have been provided by COVERGIRL.

I absolutely love getting all dolled up for everything this time of year! Whether it’s a trip to the Nutcracker or just celebrating the holiday with family at home, I think it’s a great excuse to be beautiful! Lately I’ve been loving the winteresque Ice Princess makeup look, and when I heard about the COVERGIRL #GirlsCan campaign it seemed like the perfect time to share it with you all!

The COVERGIRL #GirlsCan campaign promotes the empowerment of women by encouraging them to break down barriers and turn “can’t” into “can”.  The best part?  COVERGIRL is turning “can’t” into “can” by donating $50,000 to Dress for Success®! I’ve always thought Dress for Success®  was such an amazing organization, so I’m happy and proud to get behind them and support this great campaign! To carry on the celebration they have 2 awesome #GirlsCan mascaras at Walmart– COVERGIRL Flamed Out Mascara and COVERGIRL Professional All-in-One Mascara, you can find them on the #GirlsCan displays in the cosmetic section of your store!

I don’t know that I’ve ever been told that I can’t do something, but when I started on my journey of working from home it certainly felt like I couldn’t. Mostly because I knew of no one who did work from home. I didn’t let that stop me, however, and I persistently tried and tried until I succeeded! It was a long road, but now 5 years later I’m bringing in more monthly than I ever made “in the real world” and get to do it while staying at home with my kids and doing things like writing makeup tutorials, it really is a dream come true, but it all boiled down to me knowing that I could, despite the odds!

The Ice Princess(or Queen, depending on when you find her) whether it be of recent Disney fame or the classic fairy tales has always been someone to me whose look screams gorgeous, confident, and in charge! Here’s how I created the look so you can rock it too!

Ice Princess Makeup Tutorial

What you’ll need:

  • Matte Foundation & concealer
  • Covergirl Quad Shadow in Ice Princess
  • Covergirl Shadow in Mink
  • Covergirl Shadow in Sterling Blue
  • Covergirl Bombshell Shineshadow in Ice Queen
  • Covergirl Flamed Out Shadow Pencil in Silver Flame
  • Covergirl Flamed Out Shadow Pencil in Primrose Flame
  • Covergirl Flame Out Mascara
  • Covergirl Lipstick in Sweetheart

Start with your base, of course! You can use your usual foundation and concealer routine, but I would recommend buying a nice, light, matte foundation if you really want the whole look!

Here is where our focus for this look will be!

Step One:

Take the Covergirl Flamed Out Shadow Pencil in Silver Flame and line your eyes with a thick, bold line all the way around

Step 2

Using a creme brush (or your finger) smooth Covergirl Bombshell Shineshadow in Ice Queen over your entire lid. A little goes a long way! Sweep what is left up towards your eyebrows.

Step 3

Using a brush sweep Covergirl Shadow in Sterling Blue over your entire lid, being sure to hit the inner corner of your eye and carry it down around the bottom of your eye as well.

Step 4

Take the darkest shade in Covergirl Quad Shadow in Ice Princess and feather it on the outer corner of the lid of your eye and blend up and into the curve the entire way.

Step 5

No look should be 100% cold! Bring back the tiniest bit of warmth by blending Covergirl Shadow in Mink in the middle of your lid, and then sweep up above your eye crease lightly as well.

Step 6

Using the lightest shade in Covergirl Quad Shadow in Ice Princess blend all the layers together. When you’re finished it should look like this!

Step 7

Line your eyes once more with Covergirl Flamed Out Shadow Pencil in Primrose Flame.

Step 8

Curl your eyelashes and apply Covergirl Flame Out Mascara–this works best if you wiggle it into the roots of your lashes and then all the way up! You can put on multiple coats without it clumping or running, even brand new! I love the big, fluffy brush!

Polish your look off with a coat of Covergirl Lipstick in Sweetheart.

And Ta Da! You’re now a gorgeous, fierce, and confident Ice Princess who CAN!

The best part? One lucky reader will win a $25 Walmart Gift Card so they can recreate this look for themselves!
