Those who know me know that I love any excuse to whip up some fancy treats for a fun get together or party! Last Friday I threw a fun Care Bear Party to celebrate “Care Bears: Welcome to Care-a-Lot” which premiered Saturday, June 2 at 8 a.m. ET on The Hub TV network. (Yes it is awesome to be one of my friends–so you should totally make friends with me and get in on some of the sweet swag I pass out! Haha!)
All us moms had a good chat reminiscing back to the “Old Care Bears” movies and all the other shows we grew up loving. We all agreed that we’re happy that classic shows that we loved seemed to be making a big come back!
Coloring is one of those universally loved activities! All the kids loved the special crayons and pages–and even one of the Moms got in on the fun!
The only time the kids weren’t going crazy was during the episode! The graphics for the new series are especially impressive–the fur on the Care Bears looks real! It’s come a far cry from the 1986 movie I just to watch! The kids all enjoyed the show a bunch and were sad when it was over and asked for more! (we quickly distracted them with crayons again!) The moms agreed that while we’re happy they’re bringing human kids into the show again we wished the morals and dilemmas would be a little more clear like they were in the old shows.
All in all it was a big success-a big thanks to MommyParties for the party!
What is your favorite childhood series? Did you watch the Care Bears growing up?
