Whenever I start a series I just have to keep reading it. I never like feeling like I’m left hanging and always wait on anxiously until I’m able to find out what happens to the characters and the storyline.
So far in the series I thought the second book was a good read but not great, then I really enjoyed third book. The Stars Shine Bright is the fourth book in the series and I felt my feelings between it were somewhere in between those two.
Things that I enjoyed about The Stars Shine Bright were the complete uniqueness and the complexity of the storyline and the characters. The undercover assignment and the racetrack added a fun twist to the story and Sibella’s description yet again are spot on.
Although I appreciate Christian characters who are real and believably flawed throughout the series I felt that the God is always an afterthought dropped in here and there rather haphazardly. Some of Raleigh’s actions and attitudes-especially those towards her fiancee-are ones that I can’t really relate to.
Say what I will the book kept me turning the pages and I finished it very quickly. I’d recommend it as it’s well worth the read-but don’t take my word for it!
