Girls Day & At Home Spa Party with NIVEA Lotion

Everyone once in awhile you just need a good Girls Day Out & Girls Night In! Day before yesterday my Mom-in-Law, Amber, and me had a mission and felt like we all deserved some good shopping and then down time-so we made an entire day of it! {we ditched Tyler with Bob so they could get some guy bonding time too!}

First we spent all day scouring Tyler, Texas for the flower girl shoes for Amber and the perfect elegant yet simple, stylish & vintag-y tan dress for me to wear to my brother’s wedding. {I was using her Pinterest Board as my inspiration} Just when I thought the day was going to be a wash we hit the jackpot at our very last stop before heading home and found the perfect shoes and dress! Here’s the sneak peek!

Dress Shopping

By then we were totally shopped out and definitely ready for some pampering! I always talk about how very important “Me Time” is as a mom, and although sometimes just a simple bubble bath is great I love to do fun and “fancy” pampering too!

Although when you hear the word “Spa” you probably think $$$$ great pampering doesn’t have to come with a huge price tag! I headed to get NIVEA at Sam’s Club, along with other items for our DIY NIVEA Spa Party and was thrilled at the prices I got on everything!
Gingerbread Sugar Scrub

I used my Beautimous Pinterest Board to come up with great DIY Spa Recipes that I’d been dying to try!  I did a spin off of the Lemon Salt Scrub and made the Gingerbread Sugar Scrub. I also made a Brightening Facial Mask. { For more great Spa Party ideas check out the NIVEAmoments Pinterest Board }

Dark Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake Brownies

 Of course, no pampering or party would be complete without chocolate! I made us a spin off of my “famous” Tuxedo Brownies–I think my these just might have moved into the “favorite dessert ever” spot! They are Dark Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake Brownies…… Oh. My. Soul.

 The party was a huge success–the dessert was rich, the sugar scrub smelt good enough to eat and left our skin feeling silky.

NIVEA Lotion

The star of the party, however, was definitely the NIVEA Lotion! Diane was super impressed with it (and ended up “stealing” one of the bottles at the end of the party). We all loved how it was thick without being gunky or greasy. It absorbed quickly, left our skin super soft, and smelled amazing. Since it’s enriched and designed for rough, dry skin I was even able to use it on Amber’s super sensitive skin (remember she has eczema) and it worked wonderfully! When I told my Mom-in-law about the NIVEA Sam’s Club value (I got both big bottles for under $9) she was shocked and said she’d be stocking up the next time we went!

Have you ever had an at home spa party? What is your favorite pampering activity to do with “the girls”?
