Pesto Tortellini Recipe – In Under 20 Minutes!

Pesto Tortellini Recipe - in Under 20 Minutes

You all know how much I love Collective Bias® ! Recently they gave me a heads up about the all new Tyson Foods Toppings (Bacon Pieces) I immediately knew they would be perfect in this easy and delicious family favorite and the fact I’m getting compensated for it is the icing on the cake! All smart hubbies, spilled bacon, and drooling are my own.

This week I wanted to bring you yet another great recipe from my hubby! Even better, this time it has a double score of being a hubby recipe that’s also one of my (in)famous cheat night meal solutions which means that this  Pesto Tortellini is ready in under 20 minutes! The awesomeness continues as it requires just four–yes you read that right–four ingredients (errr packages) including the all new Tyson Bacon Pieces that I recently found while shopping at Walmart!

Here are the four ingredients, or should I say packages, that you’ll need! In classic cheat night meal fashion this recipe is all about pouring and mixing!

In fact I think that the hardest part of this recipe is boiling the water for the tortellini–which is what you do first, then you cook it according to the package. (read–dump in boiling water and cook for 8 minutes)

Next you dump in your can of Pesto! I used to use the Bertolli kind but when my local Walmart stopped carrying it I switched over to the Classico brand–any kind will work!

Next add a few handfuls of chopped pecans in to taste–I probably add roughly 1/2 a cup but just do more or less depending on how much you like nuts! I’ve also made it with walnuts.

To finish it off you add in half a package of Tyson Bacon Pieces — I used to have to fry up and the slice up the bacon, this new product makes a meal solution that is sooo much easier and I’m all about that! I also like that they just include the “good” parts of the bacon and not the grisly fat because hubby is really particular about that.

Stir all together and enjoy! It pairs well with steamed broccoli and cheese or can be eaten alone for a tasty weekend lunch!
