In February I’ve been….
Still so very much, January’s campaigns spilled over into February and then we started up a ton more as well! I loved running the Big Game shops this year, who knew football parties could be so chic? REESE’S have always been my favorite candy, so I am always excited any time I get to lead a campaign for them, and combining football with REESE’S made the #HomeBowlParty Campaign so fun!
February has been AALLL Coca-Cola! In addition to that campaign my weeks have been completely full of getting a fun basketball campaign ready and a whole, whole lot of …..
How pretty are these bottles?! My biggest work load this month has been all about the beautiful new and totally one-of-a-kind Diet Coke “It’s Mine” Glass bottles. They printed off millions of designs and no two are exactly alike! Right now I’m leading campaigns for Diet Coke “It’s Mine” at Target , Walmart , Kroger , and Albertsons ! I’m amazed by the beautiful and fun ideas that all the bloggers have had for upcycling these bottles! The most common has been to use them as vases, and that’s what I’m planning on doing with mine!
I haven’t done a whole lot of writing or other work because I’ve been also doing a whole lot of….
You already have the scoop on this but in case you missed the memo there are a whole lot more beautiful faces around Confident Foundation these days! This month has been lots of networking, training, and hanging out with Darisse, Abby, and Amber. <— Check out all their awesome About Me posts and welcome them to the team!
They haven’t wasted any time and have already posted some amazing content–if you haven’t yet check it out here!

In the midst of ALL of this I’ve also been having a big ol’ dose of…
Sure enough that nasty congestion was a sinus infection that I let grow and grow over an entire week. Because of that and how bad it was (one of the reasons I finally agreed to go into the Dr. was a 15 minute nose bleed that morning) they had to give me some super nasty antibiotics to knock it out. Thanks to all the medicine both prescribed and all natural (including my tea trea oil–a friend recommended using it and it really did help!) my infection started clearing up quickly, but the antibiotics made me incredibly sick, so I went from having a sinus infection to feeling like I had the stomach flu for 10 days. I didn’t eat real food for over 3 weeks because of all of this, and so my tracking and working out all got majorly sidelined as a result. I did drop a ton of weight, also, but I always hate when I do it because of being sick. I just now am finally feeling hungry again, and am easing back into all my regular activities. Of course as soon as that happened this weekend poor Amber got a nasty bug. I guess it’s just that time of year! Thankfully in the midst of all of this I was able to sneak in some…
A few months ago my Mom-in-Love mentioned that she had never had a pedicure in her entire life. I gasped in horror and immediately decided that had to be remedied, sooner rather than later! For her Christmas & Birthday present, and with Christmas money I received, I treated us to a Spa Day where we both got the deluxe treatment in mani & pedis. I hadn’t actually gotten a pedicure since I believe my 25th birthday 11 days before Tyler was born (so 5 years?!) so it was high time for both of us and sooo amazing. Sure enough once we were done my Mom-in-Love was in awe and wondered how she had gone her whole life without knowing how amazing it was, and promises to be back, soon!
Once I found out about my infection, and was feeling so rotten the following week, I went back to the spa for a face massage & shampoo. Massages are always so funny to me–I always envision this light, gentle, relaxing treatment so when they get started and they’re wacking away at your back and/or face it just always is a little funny! It does feel great, but it’s just not what I ever envisioned! The massage felt great and also seemed to help clear out all that ick a little better too. So thankful for the chance to relax and be happy in the midst of feeling awful!
Another big reason to be happy is because for us February means…
Crazily and incredibly my first baby turned eight–EIGHT!!! This month. But before we got to her sweet day, we had another reason to celebrate….
My Broncos Won the Super Bowl!!!!!
If you’ve been a reader for awhile you’ll remember how much I Love Football and also this way too cute shot of that baby I was just talking about showing our team pride when she was just a few months old! Now that (not so) little one sat beside me and watched and cheered them on with me, and we both did many happy dances when they were given the trophy at the end!
So after that celebration came the hustle and bustle that preparing for children’s birthday’s always involve. Thankfully for me, (since I was still feeling pretty icky right before Amber’s big day), Amber wanted another fun but low key day. Her one big request was that she wanted an Optimus Prime birthday cake. I usually do fun and easy cake decor using toys that then become part of their present, but for Optimus Prime I just couldn’t find anything that I loved, plus she already had 4 different toy versions of him. While I was brainstorming how I could make a fun Optimus Prime Cake my sister-in-law told me about Frozen Buttercream Transfers and sent me a bunch of pins. After watching the tutorial I thought “hey, I could probably do that” and so I did! I’ll do a whole post before too long, to show you that you can, too! It took forever but was a lot of fun, and I think it turned out pretty awesome for my first try. Amber loved it, and that was all that mattered! That paired with a morning with Tyler at Chuckee Cheese, frozen yogurt and the park in the afternoon with friends, and her favorite meals and a PILE of presents made for a very, very happy girl! (All she asked for was a Drone Plane, and lots and lots of books!)
I was also a very happy girl! Because of everything I’ve mentioned I haven’t gotten to do my nightly reading as much, but I did have something exciting relating to reading happen this month….
Last year in my 5 Tips for a Happy Marriage post I listed my “change your life, must read” books and blogs and included To Love, Honor, and Vacuum. This is one of the blogs that I get sent to my email and I make sure I read every post, it and the Good Girl’s Guide to Great Sex have been a huge blessing to me (and *ahem* my hubby) for many years now, so when I saw a few months ago that Shelia was coming to Tyler, TX to do a talk (she lives in Canada) I did a major happy dance! I was so excited that I mentioned it on Facebook that day, and she commented and asked me to come introduce myself so we could get a picture. As you can see we did, and she is even MORE sweet, fun, funny, and down to earth in person! I love her more than ever and am finally getting around to buying all her other books now!
And finally this month (as if that wasn’t enough….if you’ve made it this far then high five to you! You’re a true reader and friend and I really appreciate you caring enough about me to plunge through all this 😀 ) We’ve also been doing a whole lot of…
Graduation is rapidly approaching and hubby is starting to get job offers and we’re seriously thinking, considering, planning, and praying about what our future in just a few months will hold. We’ve narrowed it down to where we want to focus on job hunting, and have already been pre-approved for a VA Home Loan, which is amazing!!!! To celebrate that we’ve been house hunting and even went and check out a few drive-by-style, including this one above, which is pretty much my dream home!!! It’s so amazing to see what might be possible for us in a few months…it’s been such a long road that seeing it all coming together has got me literally happy dancing around the house!
Phew!!! Another busy month! What have you been up to?! Leave me a comment and give me the scoop! And happy Leap Year!!
