Lilies in the Moonlight was one of the most unique historical romances that I’ve read. It focuses in on Lilly Margolis who is a genuine “flapper”. In the book Allison Pittman delves into the darkness of the after math of wounds–physical and emotional. Each character in the book seems touched by some kind of deep problem, and the book walks through the healing to be found through God’s love. Although I felt that it focused a little too much on some of the more physical aspects of attraction, it did do a good job of representing real problems and every day struggles-both for back then and ones that are definitely still relevant today. The story was a unique one, as were the characters. I’d highly recommend this for anyone who enjoys a twist on historical fiction romances! It was a fun and easy read, and definitely kept my attention-I finished it in just 3 days!
